Additional technical information

As an app developer AGETOR Mobility will serve as your core tool for managing integrations with the company’s back-end business systems

Fast integration using HTTP/REST methods

When developing apps, AGETOR transformations are visible as HTTP/REST methods, and you are thereby able to swiftly integrate the apps to back-end systems while ensuring access to the databases. In addition, you can communicate data in the powerful JSON format, which has all the flexibility of XML while being easier to use.

You may also use existing HTTP/REST services on your company’s secured network as AGETOR can communicate calls through firewalls.

Firewall tunneling for the company’s core systems

Typically, companies secure their vital systems by placing a server in the external network (DMZ) which can manage access control and mediate the data exchanges between servers on the secured network. In between these networks a company can have a completely enclosed internal firewall as AGETOR supports firewall tunneling of data calls.

In practice this would mean that a component on the secured network could create a proprietary access channel to a similar component in the external network, and all data traffic would go through this channel.

Even greater security with HTTPS
If you prefer even greater security of data traffic, the communication between servers and mobile units can be secured with HTTPS, as long as the mobile units support this. AGETOR Mobility also supports HTTP Basic Authentication.
