What is AGETOR?

AGETOR is a Java based middleware product leveraging application integration and business integration. AGETOR is developed by Bording Data A/S, Denmark. Read more here.

What is the focus of the AGETOR product?

The AGETOR product focuses on stability, development efficiency and open standards. The support is focused on responsiveness and being dynamic to partner and customer needs.

Who uses AGETOR?

AGETOR is used by a large amount of customers enabling heterogenous system integration, inside companies and between companies. Today 40 different companies use AGETOR as part of production systems.

How do I become an AGETOR Partner?

AGETOR Partners resell or use AGETOR as an OEM Product in their own products. The partner company get a provision on sales and has substantial influence on AGETOR focus and development strategies. Contact us to learn more about partnership possibilities and to receive our partner program.

What is AGETOR version 3 compared to version 1 and 2?

AGETOR 3 is the new version of AGETOR with the latest functionality. AGETOR 3 is the basis for upcoming AGETOR functionality. All customers should consider the advantages moving to AGETOR 3. See the Whats New in 3.1 page for a details list of new features.

What technologies does the application integration support?

AGETOR includes client and server integration for, C on Linux/Unix and Windows platforms, Java, Visual Basic/VB Script/VBA, MS COM, CA ABF, Oracle Stored procedures and Web Services.

How does the application integration work?

On the basis of a described API, code is generated to the different platforms/environments. The client and server is connected using socket communication through the AGETOR Broker having no knowledge of each other and the technology used.

What is AGETOR Transformations (AXT)?

AXT means AGETOR XML Transformations and comprises the business integration engine in AGETOR. AXT is open to a variety of medias and document standards and has a very powerful transformation engine useful in both online- and batch-oriented environments. Technologies like XSL, XSD, XQuery and a wide range of format conversion components gives the toolbox for ad-hoc online integration between different business systems across the internet. Various communication channels are supported out-of-the box; FTP, SFTP, FTPS, Web services, file systems.

What webserver is needed?

AGETOR needs a servletrunner supporting JSP to work - for instance Apache Tomcat or other implementations. You can choose the webserver yourself - for instance Apache, IIS, Tomcat or other.

Which platforms are supported?

AGETOR runtime core modules are developed in Java and are running in production on Win32, Linux, AIX Unix and SCO-Unix. Besides that a number of other platforms has been tested including Tru64 and AS/400.

Which databases are supported?

AGETOR uses embedded databases internally, and integrates well with all major databases.

How is it installed?

AGETOR comes with a web based installation tool minimizing installation efforts.

How do I get it?

AGETOR is distributed from www.agetor.com. Partners and customers are granted access to the download section. New customers and partners get a demo by contacting us. Trial keys can be fetched online from our License portal.
