AGETOR® Transformations convert document types like orders, invoices, price catalogs etc between formats like
XML,
CSV,
EDI and others. With its configurable filters, AGETOR® supports a range of standard based conversion and processing technologies such as
XSLT,
XSD,
XQuery and
Hibernate. During transformation data may be stored in back-end systems, relational databases or may be enriched with information from such. A
web-based administration module allow
surveillance of in/out-going traffic, start/stop of communication,
tracking and fixing conversion errors that might occur due to invalid formats or data received from partners.
AGETOR® is used by businesses that wish to automate parts of, or all of, their document flow with respect to suppliers, partners and customers. Such automation ensures less errors, immediate data exchange and fewer expenses since the process is.. well, automated! Thus all companies using manual document handling of some size may achieve reduced costs and information more rapidly available.
AGETOR® is a standard product that handles a number of standardized formats and communication channels out-of-the-box. Exchanging documents through protocols like
FTP,
mail-boxes (SMTP/POP3) and
Web services are some of the available options. Obviously these must be configured since the need of every company is different. If the transformation requirements are small it is possible to do these configurations yourself after a short introductory course. Usually, a project agreement is made with Bording Data A/S which will take care of the implementation and hand over the solution. This makes sense since Bording Data A/S possess an extensive knowledge on how to create distributed systems with integration to existing applications.
The implementation is followed by a training session with the future administrators and developers. You may also choose to configure your own solution after taking a course in the AGETOR® systems. Many of the technologies involved are based on international standards and thus lots of online documentation and examples are available. AGETOR® itself comes with large searchable documentation.
Once configured, AGETOR® provides good tools for tracing exchanged information and in particular errors during exchange/processing. Thus the daily administration is usually not very demanding and can be accomplished by persons without higher IT knowledge.
