Logica customers use AGETOR for e-commerce and secure data exchange with mobile apps

More than 250 Nordic municipalities, parliaments, educational establishments and private companies use Logica’s accounting system, Raindance. A majority of these customers need to manage their e-commerce activities, and they do so with AGETOR.

One example is the municipality of Malmø. When they receive product catalogues from external suppliers, AGETOR automatically converts the catalogues into the format preferred by the municipality. AGETOR also supports  all additional aspects of the workflow, thus the Malmø municipality uses AGETOR to send orders and receive order confirmations, invoices and reminders from suppliers.

Normally, Logica’s Raindance customers receive different documents in many different formats, for example, plain text, CSV or XML, and AGETOR subsequently converts them into the format preferred by the individual Raindance customer. Outbound documents are converted in the same way and are sent in formats required by the recipient.

Raindance customers are able to receive and send documents in many different ways such as files, EDI and through various web services. Swedish customers often need to manage documents based on the Swedish standard, Svefaktura, so AGETOR is customized to support this standard as well.

AGETOR automatically stores all inbound and outbound communication in an archive, which makes it easy to find documents again, for instance, for auditing purposes. In the event of an error, the administrator automatically receives alerts allowing potential problems to be solved quickly and easily via a web interface.

Logica’s Raindance customers also use the AGETOR Mobility functionality, which ensures secure data exchange between mobile employees and back-end business systems. Logica has developed mobile apps that allow Raindance customers to timestamp and approve invoices via smartphones or tablet PCs.

AGETOR Mobility runs as a proxy server and ensures secure data exchange between mobile users and back-end business systems. At the same time, administrators use AGETOR Mobility to decide which users have rights to log on to the mobile units and decide to which specific mobile units they have access.
